What's your favorite Swiss army knife?

Swisschamp. The perfect knife when you couldn't decide on just one. That's why I bought mine years ago. I've tried tp replace it with smaller SAK's; but I always go back the the Swisschamp.

did a search @ MoMA to.
fairly interesting arty-facts.
just wondering if the 1990's Timberline Emerson SPECWAR was marketing a MoMA myth.

Talk about a tough question. There are lots of SAKs that I love for different reasons...

I probably have a dozen or so favorites that I left out. :)

"supratentorial", you had to pick an awesome combination!
Attaching a pair of Scissors would certainly complete my idea of the best package a 100%. That, and having it in black alox scales instead.

I thought about picking a Swiss army knife that wasn't awesome but I couldn't find one! ;)

Among the larger ones, I favor the very rare 84mm golfer with long file.

That's a nice one!

Probably the locking Adventurer. I've had mine since the early 90s and carried it all over the world. It's not an EDC now (too big), but is still a go-to knife for the back-pack or in pocket when I'm hitting the road and a large folder won't be an issue.

Super tinker, it gets frequent pocket time. Gotta love any SAK, worlds most sheeple friendly knife and they are damn functional.

Talk about a tough question. There are lots of SAKs that I love for different reasons. From a practical point of view, if I could only have one of them, then I'd have to go for my Champion. From a personal point of view I'd go for my old Compact that my young daughter got me (with some help from me of course) :) .

Just took a pic of my vintage Champion in it's lovely new green scales. Just thought I'd share. :D

The standard Vic I like most is the Yeoman, followed by my custom Yeoman-Mechanic with a long nail file.

Over the years, the Huntsman has remained the consistent leader in my troop of SAKS. I used to carry a custom white paper micarta scaled version. I recently switched to a green canvas micarta Huntsman.

I must admit that I've been on quite a Swisschamp and Farmer kick lately. :D

For me, the Explorer is about as good as it gets, though adding a saw would be nice. The phillips is especially nice, compared to the standard back-mounted flavor:

Vic did make a 91mm model that was an "Explorer with a saw". It was called the Woodsman and it is no longer manufactured. They still turn up on eBay from time to time.

I have carried the Adventurer model for close to 20 years. It is only 2 spring channels thick, has a locking 3.25-inch blade, and has all the tools from my previous favorite Tinker model.

For me it's a toss up between the tinker and the hiker. At work I pair the tinker with a vic spirit multi-tool. Outside of work I carry the hiker by itself when I don't want to carry a multi-tool.

That is a great question. But there are so many I like. But I think my 20 year old Huntsman would be on top of the list.
