As a kid the local hardware store carried " Diamond Edge " knives which I later learned were made by Imperial. In the 1980's I carried the good Gerber folders. Then when I got into Corrections as an Officer I carried a stainless steel Army pocket knife. I think the one I carried was a Camillus dated 1966. After awhile I switched to a Swiss army knife and carried that on the job for 22 years. Since I retired I've gotten more into buying/collecting and discovered Buck ,Shrade , G96 , and " Sharp " knives of the traditional brands.
