I’m old and set in my ways. Been carrying a Military since they first came out. I have a ridiculous number of them in my collection.

I find myself doing the same.....carrying a Spyderco of some sort (usually the Techno 2) and a SAK, usually the Pioneer X but sometimes a Tinker.

The older I get, the smaller my EDC needs get.

Also the older I get, the less I use my traditionals due to negotiating the nail nicks with arthritic hands...
Yea man a SAK plus whatever flavor knife you like on the side is an awesome combo. I also carried a Leatherman everyday until a couple weeks ago. Just trying to go a little more lightweight. I hear ya on the small EDC. I've been enjoying some larger knives lately, but you're absolutely right, for most of my every day needs I can get along just fine with a smaller knife. I really like to carry my Kershaw Scallion on small knife days, that thing cuts like a demon with the recurve and, even though the handle's small, the way it's shaped makes it feel much bigger.

Victorinox Classic SD, don't leave home without it.

Without a doubt, my Ruike P662-b. It's pretty much been the main knife I've carried for the past year and a half by a long, long way. It's sleek, good looking, has good steel (14C28N), and is cheap. Once broken in, deployment is fast. It's small enough to be carried easily, but big enough to be useful, and I love the blade shape for EDC. Only gripe I have is the pocket clip kept on getting caught on everything and bending open, which resulted in me nearly losing it a couple times. So I took the clip off and carry it in my pocket now, which is also comfortable to do since it's a fairly narrow knife. That might be a deal-breaker for some, but it doesn't bother me.

I have gravitated to smaller knives as I have gotten older with a blade length of 2.750” being then sweet spot for me. That allows a handle that I can get all of my fingers on and enough blade to do pretty much all of my cutting needs. I have also gravitated to more traditional patterns like slip joints and old school type lock backs. Just my personal preference. Lately my favorite EDC is a Buck 501.
