What's your latest hunger?

TorzJohnson,

I hear ya on the Krein Knife. They rock hard.

For me, I want...

BM 805 TSEK Axis
Balisong, some quality variety (BM, Microtech, Spyderfly)
Spydie Native in s30v
BRK&T with sheep horn handles
BK&T Necker, BK9, BK7
Spydie Lil T, s30v, leaf blade

I want a big old bowie! I have been reading Bill Bagwells book about Bowies, and must have one. I also like the Look of the Bark River Evolution 1 and alo want SRKW to re-introduce the Rat Shaker!

Well, I got a 3.5" DDR EDC on order so I guess that counts as one of them. Also getting more into Daltons. I am defenitely moveing more and more towards custom knives though. Also looking to get a Dozier folder, had a fixed blade and it was great but I have no need for a FB.

At the moment though I am waiting, or at least trying to, for the NYCKS. I plan on going and seeing what is around, what looks cool and feels good in hand. Hopefully I will be able to pick up a thing or two.

This is what I'm working on:

Lately I have been lusting over slipjoints - older Schrade stockmans with turkish clip style blades, Case 6318s. Also starting to collect bird hook style slippies.

Am really into Hawbaker styles lately but only have one, a Queen, to date. The Hawbakers really go high on eBay :grumpy:.

I did recently buy a Schrade 150OT. Have to get a sheath made for this bad boy.

Well, I've already got my Mambas, so what I'm really hankering for is a small fixed blade I can EDC in Canada. I keep going back and forth between the Busse Active Duty and the Benchmade Activator.

Older slip joints with stag handles. If it's a stockman thats even better. Also funky working type knives from other countrys like Okapi's, Opinels, Douk-douk's, Eye brand sod-busters. My taste in knives has gone to smaller knives as I have gotton older.

Fehrman 5.5" Last Chance (satin - got to be one of the coolest looking!)

Swamp Rat Battle Rat

I've been lusting after a Steve Isbell tanto for a while now. The new Spyderco SS ATR is well up there on the "must have" list also. Unfortunately I am currently bound by an agreement in which overtime=new toys. Since almost twenty new officers just started at my institution the prognosis is grim! :(

My latest hunger has been for small fixed blades (not quite choppers, around 5"). I'm planning on getting a custom in the pretty near future.

Bark Rivers, Blackjacks, Stag, Less tactical - more outdoorsy, small fixed blades, less kydex - more leather. That's been the flow of my collection lately. I'm lusting for something with bighorn sheep handles.

I've been wanting to get one of Charles Marlowe's folders. I'm just about ready to place an order with Charles since I'm having a hard time finding one I want. There have been a couple for sale but they either have features I don't want or they are too $$$. I almost had one a few weeks ago but the seller backed out of the deal (I didn't blame him a bit!).
