**What's your must buy knife this year?**

Im thinking of getting a hideaway neck knife, and am also looking at the benchmade axis locks coming out this summer. I was interested in the 705-02 and the 710-02 but have started looking at the 733-02 instead.

One of the newer model BM806D2's....just kinda waiting to see if BM offers it in a more dressed up limited edition.

Simonich Raven - got a proto type mid tech by accident so I have to get a user.

1/4in satin jack 7" blade (beg to the custom shop)

Bauchop Recce

Is this a trend?????

Looking forward to the Extrema Ratio Folders.

Microtech has got to have something brewing in their Manual Action department so whatever they come out with may be on the list. Hopefully a manual with a button lock..

Richard Sommer, I got the Greco Whisper folder which was only about $75 when I bought before christmas. I like it, it opens great, although takes a little more (thumb) muscle. It has a real thick blade. I think it's thicker even than my full size Camillus USMC (CAM-5685). To me this Greco appears to be a tactical knife because of it's thick spearpoint blade. I just got a BM 806D2, which is great, but the blade seems too thin for tactical use. But I know nothing about knife "combat", so who knows. The Greco folder blade is not a great slicer, being so thick (acts like a splitting wedge on apples) but it works for doing chores. I think my thin bladed Opinel No. 8 is actually more practical for most working situations, while I like to pack the Greco as a tougher worker and when there's a chance of a "tactical" encounter.

same as a couple of other people here im itching for my cuda dominator to arrive and its driving me crazy waiting for it!!!!!

I plan to add these S30V Spyderco's:

Dodo; Lil' Temperance; A.T.R.; Native; Military...

Also, a Tony Huffman trapper (which is nearing completion) and J.P. Holmes is making a couple 420V steak knives for my sweetie's kitchen.

Spyderco FRN PE Calypso Jr. VG-10: sometime soon

Spyderco collaboration w/ Peter Herbst VG-10: Christmas

I've had two must buys this year: The Buck/Mayo, which I recently picked up; an Obenauf Mini Model 2 framelock which I expect to pick up in Mid-June.:D :D :D

Dave Beck WSK on the way. A next Gen KaBar at the top then a Shefield SAS cutaway knife. MK3 Ontario Dive and Camillus USAF Survival are also slightly lower on the list.

Here are my "must buys" in rough order:
  1. Günter Böhlke custom finger-hole knife with an S90V recurve blade and an ironwood grip
  2. Camillus CUDA Aftermath
  3. Camillus OVB Fisk Southwest Bowie
  4. Camillus CUDA Dominator
  5. Rob Simonich Mid-Tech Bitteroot in Talonite
    [/list=1]

I have already received my Southwest Bowie and it was everything I hoped it would be. If the others match their expectations half as well this will be my best year ever for knives! :)

My guess is that Mr. trane_fan is feeling a bit Paranoid. Maybe instead of just one knife, he is waiting for a Para knives. If I'm right about the knife, I truly believe that Sal is just stringing us along. Maybe it will become the official knife of snipe hunters...:D

When I get the chance I think I'm gonna quit screwin' around and finally buy a Camillus CUDA MAXX Bowie, also a BK&T BK10 Crewman is pretty high on my list at the moment.

My one "must have" knife for this year is ordered, the Busse Anorexic Badger LE.
I have been excited about this knife ever since Jerry first announced it was coming. I even bit the bullet and shelled out for a little bit of a mod on it, which I think will enhance it's usefulness even more.

Like TheBadguy I have a top 8 or 10 wish list, and will definately not get them all this year. But if I could it would be, in no particular order:

1. TOPS Steel Eagle 111A Extra Heavy Duty
2. Chris Reeve Aviator
3. Buck 184 Buckmaster
4. Robert Parrish Survival Knife
5. Randal Model 18 Attack
6. Randal Astro
7. MOD Survival Knife
8. HI Ang Khola
9. Jack Crain Commando Life Support System Scorpion II (I think that's his medium sized sawback.)
