Right now I don't have a nightstand, but I do have an HI Katana, Villager BAS, and around a dozen other "small" knives that I have made around my bedroom.

What do yall have?

Gelbu Special. Only need the one. If I had more, I'd be confused as to which to grab.

Oh, and it's under the bed, being bigger than the nightstand.

Switchblade , Good old Sarge Sgian duhb , Becker necker , Bura B:A:S: .

I don,t get confused as to which one to grab . Mr. Malamute will have taken care of it long before then .

Smith and Wesson model 19 .357 mag snub nose....never bring a knife to a gun fight !

I have an M43 right next to my bed. Right next to it is a Kris Cutlery Gladius and on the other side of the bed is a custom tomahawk.

Tin Chirra on the stand.
A Springfield .45 acp and Surefire 9P plus Hankins fighter, large can of pepper spray and 26" ASP baton in the drawer of the stand.:o Deep drawer.
That should keep me till I get in the gun safe inside the closet next to my nightstand.;)

I was gonna say a Glock 30 but I see that the firearms card has already been played.

I'm no longer a fan of swinging sharp objects indoors. The ceiling gets gouged, the lights get broken, and it's hell getting bloodstains out of this carpet. Maybe I should put down some plastic or something...

Sounds like Joe Pesci if he was born in Nepal .

Um, I might add that ArchAngel is about 6'5" tall with a reach that you don't want to imagine with a Khukuri on the end of it...not to mention with the other hand "tenderizing" you with a 26" ASP baton. :D

My "nitestand" khuk is my 15" Kumar AK...Razor sharp and very "cutty" with a .357mag sitting right beside it in easy (sortof) reach...Brinkman's flashlight, spare ammo for pistol and shotty and my Sgt Khadka Bilton that Steve F. gave me on a belt under the bed in easy reach...

My "grab it if I have time" gun is my mossy 590loaded with buckshot and slugs...I also keep my homemade Rommy AK47 handy (I am working on a folder now), but I am very hesitant to shot anyone with it (even more so than normal!)...I put alot of work into that thing and I dont like the idea of losing it for shooting some crackhead in the face with it..

BTW

I eventually plan to retire my 15" Ak from it's antipersonell role, and replace it with a nice tarwar (once i get the scratch to get one!)...The tarwar would fit right into my style (darth vader/barry bonds) of knife and sword fightting...

Nightstand khukuri is my 14" BDC. My 18" WWII sits there sometimes but I feel like the close quarters of my bedroom are better served by the BDC. The WWII lives on a shelf in the living room (easily accessible when zombie comes thru front door).

Remember the fussy ladies who'd never let you sit on certain furniture, and what you could sit on was layered in plastic? Dave Rishar adds a entirely new element to this.....Darn that blood spray pattern; Again!!???

Since I may not have time to grab and load my weapon (mandated carry mode), my Crow is next to me, ready to deal with B hut infiltrators. I don't have a nightstand, though. :o

Does this one count?

i have a surefire combat light (the original police version) and a villager 18" pen knife.
Of course, there are dozens of other weapons, both real and safety versions, between me and the front door, so why I bothered to put something by the bed I cant say. Force of habit, I guess.
I wish I could have a gun here in Japan.
I used to keep a 22 ruger next to my bed. ( in Texas)
I know, it aint no hand cannon, but for me, being able to have a much wider range of options inside the house was important.
Especially if I make a mistake at 3 am.

for myself, being in the UK, firearms are not an option, so i'd have my m43 or the kobra in the right hand and my Bell Bowie in the other, mebbe the ballock dagger. the doggies will slow down any nasties & give me more time to decide what is appropriate.

18" Sirupati under my bed. Light and fast. 4D maglight right there as well. And there's a Perrin Bowie next to my pillow.
