If you work in a office environment whats your edc? pictures plz :)?

After alot of thinking iv finally decided at 19 years old almost 20 im going to go back to college for business related things and pursue a job in banking. Just curious what you office guys out there carry :s.

Normally my large sebenza. But I can and have carried all of my other knives, including 4" fixed blades on my hip.

I've been carrying a Benchmade Aphid without the clip. Super light and thin. Also a Spyderco C22 Michael Walker sprint in ZDP-189. Both are discontinued models, but great if you can find them.

I work in a banking environment and carry just about anything I want. I have carried everything from a Spyderco Military to a peanut. My workplace is very relaxed. I do however keep the knife down in my pocket and not clipped just to look more professional.

I have carried a ripple in the office as well, but my office happens to be a robotics lab and the 154CM blade makes wire stripping much easier than using the ripple. Honestly the two most useful tools are the scissors and pen in the swiss card :rolleyes:

When I was working in an office in hardware sales, I carried a 4" (closed) lockback. It was a freebie from the NRA with mystery steel & fairly nice wood scales, and it reminded me how handy even a single 3"-3.5" blade could be. Didn't look military or "tactical" at all, and my coworkers routinely asked to borrow it.

I also had a Victorinox Huntsman, but at four layers it was pretty wide. A Super Tinker (at three layers) would work well in an office environment, I would think.

I'd say start simple with something more traditional looking, and gauge the tolerance of people in the office & school you'll be working in.

Good luck to you -

~Chris

good advice thanks.

I just ordered a Benchmade 707 sequel. I think it will be the perfect work environment edc.

I think you should carry either a ZT550 or a TB Bodega black haha, really freak some people out

realistically though;
when working at the front desk for the company my dad worked for, I carried either a basic SAK that was similar to the modern day Vic. cadet or a spyderco persistence with the blue G10 both were the right size

every now and then id carry something obnoxious like a spydy resilience or something of that nature Just for the heck of it

I work in IT for a company that has a lot of people that would faint at the sight of a knife... Today I am carrying my Benchmade 707 Sequel, but also carry a Benchmade 943, SAK Cadet, Spyderco Techno, SRM 710 & 763, and this beauty...

What is that?! It's gorgeous AND has a Texas logo on it.... I want!

I work in IS/IT for a major automotive manufacturer. I currently EDC a Spyderco Sage CF. I try to keep my office EDC to 3" (7.62cm) or less. I have carried a Paramilitary 2 and even my Endura 4 G10 and ZT0300 on a couple occasions, but I feel they are too large for the office. I also always carry a Vic Classic to use under certain situations where I think I may cause a disturbance if I used my Sage. But most of my knife usage is in the back room/data center breaking down computer/server boxes and such.
