Specifically the 940-1 "Hungry Dolphin"
After lots of time at knife dealers and an unreasonable amount of time on this forum, I purchased a Benchmade 940-1.
First quality knife i've bought.
Check out the review and let me know what you think!

Benchmade 940-1 Hungry Dolphin Review: http://youtu.be/TW4aV0PIWUY

Already working on my next purchase! 0562CF

What's your opinion on this Benchmade? Did I make a good purchase?

Great video....that CF is cool.

I really like the 940 but it's a little to slender for my taste.

I would like to see a 390 810 in CF. :)

The 94X in all its incarnations is one of the best designed knives you'll find anywhere. It takes up literally 1/2 the pocket space of a Spyderco with a similar length blade. And the CF versions are so light they're like carrying nothing. Definitely a great knife in a small package.

That video was great. I laughed a good bit.

Love the Osborne designed knives. I think they look great.

I recently also purchased the 940-1 and love it so much want to get the standard green one too. Whenever I really like a knife, I usually end up owning two of them. I don't like blades much smaller than 3.5 inches, but was looking for something light weight (under 3 oz) and compact for summer that would carry well in shorts. The 940-1 was exactly what I was looking for Great knife. Entertaining video too. Thanks for the review.

I ordered a carbon fiber clip for it on Ebay, should be here soon, cant wait to put it on.

Excellent video. I've considered getting a mini grip but after seeing many threads questioning the durability of the omega springs in the axis lock, (And the lack of customer support from Benchmade on this particular item)I always decide to go traditional instead.

Great review and commentary, I love your regional accent btw!

Oh and the knife. First time I've ever seen a 940 dressed in carbon fiber, really, really sharp looking knife!

I've had three mini grips, still have two and a mini presidio. The Omega springs have never failed on any of them. I've actually taken the springs out of one mini grip and I rather liked it without them. Doesn't really effect the way the knife works all that much.

I have never had a problem with any of my Benchmades and I will tell ya, there is no lock smoother than a Benchmade Axis. The video is right on about the action, its great.

I love the 940, and I really want the 940-1, but I boycotted Benchmade after they raised their prices by 30% in December 2013.

Perhaps I'll breakdown at some point and purchase the 940-1, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I love it! great review and hilarious! I actually subscribed to your channel after watching..... classic!

Fantastic! "It comes out of the hole like it ain't wearing protection" and "sharper than a wardrobe closet at a Justin Bieber concert" were my two favorites. Short and to the point, I like it.

Hilarious! If you are willing to spend the money, you really can 't go wrong with a benchmade. The 940 is an excellent knife.

Nice knife. I wasn't able to get the opportunity cost to pencil out in its favor, though. I ended up buying a ZT 0770CF instead.

The 940 is in the EDC rotation until something better comes along that hits on the levels where the 940 misses (no clue what those are).

Great blade. I rotate between it and the PM2 most days.

As for the overpriced assertion above, I don't think so at all. For what you get, yes you're paying for it, however, after the sale, you'll be hard pressed to find a company who treats its customers better and is more responsive to the paying customer's needs.

Back to the 940, though. They're great. Love mine. Hope to get other iterations sometime.

I love Benchmade. It's by far my favorite blade and it's the gift I give to my closest friends.
