What's Your Opinion on Benchmade?

94x series are great knives. Benchmade as a company... OVERPRICED.

I agree, I like their designs but I feel like they're about a third to a half again as they should be. I almost bought an Axis Flipper a couple of weeks ago, after holding it and playing with it for about half an hour I decided it just wasn't worth $150, especially in light of other options.

They make really great knives, a top tier production company, but they cater to the tactical/military/Leo crowd a lot and they are a little too expensive for me.
I do have a mini grip, monochrome, and a 940. Used to have a 710, 707, pika I & II, and a few other I can't recall at the moment.

Showoff... Just kidding man - nice blade n I laughed my arse off!

Might wanna check out the 710. It is the "best of breed" IMO. It is everything a benchmade should be. Nothing more nothing less. Carries like nothing, slices like a razor, and is damned handsome to boot.

Little bit over priced for what you get, QC is lacking, and the steep factory edge is pretty bad. That being said I love the Axis lock, Benchmade's are still my favorite folders because of this.

Relative to other brands I find it hard to understand Benchmade is 50%-100% overpriced when I'm comparing to other production brand prices, but then again I bought a more expensive 940-1 and paid a premium (gladly) for the bling.
I'm really enjoying the knife!
Looking into edge systems...not sure if I should get a WE Pro 1 or just get a set of extra fine stones for my Sharpmaker.

There are at least 3 benchmade knives that I would like to own but there's no way I'm going to spend $130-$140 each to buy them new. IMO they are over-priced.
