Hey guys. I thought this would be an interesting thread...although its probably been done before.

My perfect folder would have to be an AFCK with an axis lock, tip-up clip (black and very low riding), with a flat-ground blade that had a stronger tip than it does now in M2(without the bt2 coating) or bg42 steel. Plain edge with a 3.75 " blade.

A William Henry / Strider collaboration. Nice Shiny super-thick tanto armour-piercing blade, jewled thumbstud, and smoother than a baby's butt. And of course, a selection of fine handle materials. I would probably have to go with the red jigged bone handle on that one. But Carbon Fiber would be nice too.
I like knives just like my women, tough and gorgious......

Larry Chew and Ken Onion collaboration,
Larry's Cujo with speed safe.
Ken's Boa with bering pivot.

Small Sebenza with flat ground warncliffe blade. What's missing in my life...

Darrel Ralph Apogee.
The one that I see on the banner with the Damascus blade and the gold nugget work.
They're may be one in my future. Minus the Damascus and gold, so I can afford it.

Well, my opinion on the perfect folder for me would change from time to time. But, right now I would like a Spyderco Military with an axis or rolling lock, and the option of a reversable clip for tip down carry. Not that I don't trust the lock, but I think it would increase the already superb ergonomics of the handle. Or, if Spyderco would come out with a lefthanded model, that would be great too. Then I could carry 2, one serrated and my trusty plain edge model!

yo, st. james.

have you tried calling Chris Reeves? I would think getting you such a thing would be easy for the Reevemeister!!! and you know, he probably has done one before. Heck, if can put a tanto point on there, a Wharnecliff should be cake.

At the moment, A large Sebenza, or maybe a REKAT sifu.

I'm just waiting untill the Busse folder comes out.....

Why the DDR XL Apogee with the newer wider 4.25" recurve lots of belly CPM-420V blade and anodized titanium integral type lock of course with the darkend pocket clip and blue purple green lanyard cord attached!

Wet dreams: Al Mar / Emerson collaboration
Al Mar / Elishewitz
Al Mar / Terzuola
Al Mar / Franklin
Al Mar / Corkum
Al Mar / Pelle

A full dress, damasteel, Blue Ti bolster, white mastodon ivory, DOUBLE GRIND CQC7 would be my perfect folder. But that will never happen unless I win the lottery...

Mark, that kind of reminds me of that McDs or Burger king commercial..... the one where the rhyme goes kind of like this:
twobeefpattiess,specialsauce,lettuce,cheese,onasesameseebun.etc.....

COmbine my two favorite ever folders for hard use.
A spyderco Wenger made constructed like the Reeves Sebenza.

The ergos on the Wenger are the best I ever wrapped my hand around and I found the blade shape was near perfection for me but the Construction of the Sebenza is hard to beat. Simple, great materials, can be taken apart and confidence inspiring lock.
Ah dreams

My Perfect knife would be a custom from Ken Onion. Or maybe something from Greg Lightfoot, or a piece from Allen Elishewitz, or!....OR!...oh well, I guess my small Sebenza will have to do.................for now..MMMWWAHAHAHA!!!

Always seems to be the last one I bought, till I see the next one that is.....

I'm with StJames on this, a Small Sebenza but with a wharncliff style blade, to bring the point down a little. Wood inlay would also be a plus

The perfect folder for me would be a large stockman in something like CPM-3V, with micarta scales. I'd also like to see a SAK or Leatherman with CPM-3V or even 50100B or 6180 or 6190 (carbon percentages that I've not seen) blades, and 6150 for the tools. 6150 is evidently the alloy that is used when tools are advertised as 'chrome-vanadium'.

Hmmm....would have to be a BM910SBTCG, but with a full 4" blade, 0.16" thickness, anodized skeletion clip & liners like on Allen's custom knives, and finally polished G-10 slabs. That would be my dream knife.

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

It's fun to dream . I wonder if anyone is listening. One of mine would be a BM Stryker with the Axis lock , 440V or VG-10 blade with thumb hole. The shape of the BM pinnacle blade and a polymer coated reversible spring steel pocket clip that is textured on the outside just enough for positive purchase. AHH!!!

I'm with Johno. As a regular user of stockman, I would like to have 4-1 1/4" stockman with premium materials - at a reasonable price of course.
