My perfect folder would have to be an AFCK with an axis lock, tip-up clip (black and very low riding), with a flat-ground blade that had a stronger tip than it does now in M2(without the bt2 coating) or bg42 steel. Plain edge with a 3.75 " blade.

Sounds like my perfect folder also. A sure winner. A Spyderco Wegner in VG-10 or 440-V with the Spyderco Compression lock would be up there as well.

Zytel (to keep weight thick handle) Spyderco Native withOUT false edge. Better grip pattern, since the one on the current Zytel model sucks. ATS-55 or better blade. Tipd-down carry would be nice, but not the most important thing on my list. There's gotta be another way to pull of the clip/hole combo, because the one in use now is far from perfect. The hole should be a tiny bit bigger and the screw shouldn't come out so easily. If they made one like this (at a price comparable to that of the Delica and Endura, I think 2 sizes would sell well. I would buy one of each (but the larger would definitely need a tip-down configuration).

I would have to say a doctor's knife by Eugene Shadley and Mel Pardue's button locks.

The doctors knife is the most perfect knife I have seen. The backsprings and liners look as if they are one piece of steel.

The button locks action can only be described as silk against silk.

High res and IMHO worth the wait

How about starting with a Mission MPF titanium handle with its integral frame lock. Add to this Larry Chew's needle bearing roller system and then top it all off with one of Kit Carson's 4 inch hollow ground drop point CPM 420V blades.
