I didn't vote because you didn't have stropping on there.

Ya know I was gonna say somethin' smarta*s but I looked at the post and your right, I should've included it.

Well at least we know how ya feel. :D

Belt grinder, but I can't vote.

Work my way up the grits then hit it with a leather belt with white compound, or a felt belt loaded with Mothers.

Edge Pro Apex to get everything to a 30 degree bevel then tapered to 40 degrees with the Sharpmaker. After that it's touchups with the Sharpmaker at 40 and a leather strop with green stuff on it. :barf:

I do a little bit of everything except buffing. I checked on "belt grinder" since that is what I use for the heavy work.

I use a bench grinder with a pressed paper wheel or my sharpmaker, depending on what kind of mood I'm in and how much reprofiling I need to do. Over the years, I've used a number of different kinds of stones while learning to freehand, and I'm decent at using them, but I still prefer to work out my blades on the bench grinder, the same way I was first taught to sharpen...

I tried to write it in, but ballpoint pen doesn't work too well on glass. :D

(How's THAT for smarta*s? ;) )
