  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What's Your Rick Hinderer Grail!

Mine is the same, sans dlc coating and purchased direct from the farm - what can I say, I'm a hermit!! :D

Also quite solitary, but thought I'd get out of the cave and touch elbows with the rest of mankind...all for a custom. Speaking of which...this weekend. However, would love to go to the farm. Hopefully, next year at a GTG or something.

So you're going to the CA knife show? Cool! Good luck.

There was a question asked before about what you'd do if you finally acquired your grail. You seek out a new grail! I scored a Zurich SWAT XM-18, and that was my grail. Now I am wanting a Gen 2 flipper, or a Hellfire 3.5".

A XM-18 purchased from the Rick Hinderer Website or its dealers for MSRP and readily available...............Maybe in another lifetime this will become reality !!!

Currently I am investing (too much) time into finding an XM-18, 3.5" flipper, with orange G10 scale (and extra titanium scale), CTS-XHP steel, Spanto grind. Just when I thought I was obsessed with CRK's I discover Hinderer knives, which brings my understanding of obsession to an entirely new level. This knife is priority #1... I have lots of other wants, but if this shows up, it takes the cake.

The_Guide, totally know what you mean, never heard of Hinderer knives about a couple of years back and was just finally dipping my feet into Sebenzas. Then kept watching and reading about knives on Youtube and forums, they kept referring to Hinderer knives. It seemed like a real challenge to get one at a reasonable price and so of course...just had to go hunting for one myself.

When you finally get one in hand...that's when you know. It's also when you start wanting a custom Hinderer, if not already.

Good luck with your hunt; that's all part of the fun.

if this didnt have "the_guide" user name attached to it i would have thought i wrote this in my sleep. i want a hinderer fiercely but finding one with a price i can live with is quite challenging its going to be a every day user and i cant do that with a $600 knife.

Sure ya can. That's what I thought too. You just have at it and forget all of the hype. I've really put the beat down on this 3.5" flipper and I love the thing. It's been sharpened & touched up so many times that it could be called a 3" fatty in a couple more years! I think Rick would want me to use my XM-18 hard. Why buy it - to look at it?;)

My grail is the 3.5" slicer blue/black with blue stand-off's that I just ordered from Rob to replace my lost orange.

Scored my Grail thru the Blade Forums Hinderer Lottery ha ha still got the sucker, All Black DLC made for the Swat Team.

XM- 24, left hand, non flipper, M390 blade, slicer grind, XM textured bronze titanium scale, bronze anodized frame and blue stand offs and clip.

How does this sound?

Damascus slicer hollow grind blade, Lightning Strike carbon fiber scale, all of the hardware (scale screws, stand-offs, female stand-off screws, LBS), thumbstud, and clip bronze anodized ti, black DLC lockside and clip screws, and how about some bronze anodized file work, too?

Add me on that one cpd670. Any left-handed XM would definitely be my grail.

Hand ground Xm-18 3.5 Bowie blade, stonewashed Ti with a stonewashed fitted .45 LBS,
Skull pocket clip and skull filler tab with an eyepatch, Ti handle scale with a cube pattern ala
Frag pattern stonewashed, hand convexed edge by Murray Carter. Stonewashed hardware .
I could only imagine/

Honestly it would be that XM somebody photoshop created Wilson/Hinderer " Star-XM" (like a StarTac, just XM) That thing was S W E E T.
