I've lurked on this forum for a about 2 years before I actually joined just to read the discussions and learn new things about knives and when I finally figured I should join in on conversations I wasn't at all disappointed. I'm really enjoying asking questions of my own, joining in conversations and starting a few of my own threads for discussion, it's a lot of fun. I can definitely say I made the right decision joining this awesome forum because it is very informational while being humorous and entertaining at times and there's just something for every knife enthusiast on here.

My first impression when I first started looking on here was this is one hell of a cool knife forum and I took a liking to reading many peoples comments, especially Charlie Mike's, God rest his soul and his passing was a shock to me even if I never knew him. He just seemed like a really cool guy that added a lot of humor and entertainment to the forum. My impression now that I've been on here for awhile hasn't changed one bit, it's still one hell of a cool knife forum and the people are very informational and enjoyable to conversate with and learn from. I would definitely recommend and urge any lurker that's reading this to join up now and join in with the fun discussions we have on here, I wish I would've joined in sooner myself. So this was my first impressions of the forum and my impressions so far now that I've been a member for a short time.

So the questions I have for all of you are what was your first impressions and impressions now of this knife forum? Likes/dislikes? Any good, bad or humorous memories you would like to share with everyone from the forum? Any good stories you wanna share? Just thought it would be a good discussion for everyone to get to know one another a little better on this forum. Enjoy!

I don't get it.

Are you proposing we taking about knives or the personalities here on the forum?

I like knives.

So I came here to learn more and chat about them.

Some of the people are cool and have intelligent things to say.

Not necessarily personalities. Knife stories, any good adventures you've had or forum memories you would like to share. First impressions of the forum and any impressions you may have now. Just thought it would be a good discussion for everyone.

People here sure love smatchets for some reason. Been that way as long as I can remember. Is that a story? I dunno.

I think that would be a statement. Possibly a factoid.

Maybe an observation?

Good point. Maybe I'm not getting it. Lemme try again...

Remember when that guy came here saying he invented a folder that he said was as strong a s fixed blade?

That was awesome.

Or that one guy who friended every new member? That was nuts.

Yes the folder with fixed blade capabilities good one .

Knives are cool and sometimes hot. I spend too much money on them. My wife thinks I'm an idiot but that's nothing new.

Sometimes I ride a dirt bike. My dog barks a lot. I live out in the woods and swim naked, sometimes with my dog. Hummingbirds are tiny but my cat still wants to eat them.

It's really hot today.

I've browsed some other knife forums and FB groups, but FB groups seem to be full of hotheads and idiots, so I usually come here where people tend to be more chill.

When I'm swimming naked, I don't like turtles.

Knives are cool. I cut myself a couple times. I think once was with a SOG.

Is there anything better than swimming naked?

My fiance doesn't like my knife collection.

I once stuck a knife in a stump and bent the tip pretty badly. Good thing it was a $10 Walmart special.

That was the only guy I ever liked on this forum.
