The story behind your nom de plume, that is.
At the start of my intrests in things sharp & pointy, and also bright (as in flashlights) , mine seemed a subtle parody of myself; the ying to my yang. ;)

And it keeps people from asking me hard questions!:) ;)

My nom de plume, Jeff Clark, is of family origin. The Jeff (short for Jeffrey) comes from Geoffrey Chaucer (ca.1343-1400), the father of English literature. And Clark is an old English term for a man who writes for a living, essentially a scribe. Did I mention that my father was an English professor?

I was realy into mythology and always liked the name. Recently I found out that the HMAS CERBERUS is the Royal Australian Navy's foremost and largest training establishment, kinda cool since I order knives from one of the AU makers.

been done before, but not for a good while, my name Hissom is a decebdant of OhOssian or ohoisin went to O'Hession Hession Hisson Hissom or as near I as could tell in my gen research. it means the grandchildren of Ossian a galic name meaning little deer, made famous by the son of Finn McCool

Nothing interesting here. Ages ago when I signed up for a freebie Netscape mail account, it was the first permutation of my first and last name that wasn't already taken. :)

Pretty much self explanatory except for the numeral. My last name is Smith and I got sick of people asking me how to spell it so whenever someone did ask me I'd reply," It's S-M-I-7-T-H;the 7 is silent!" and it just sort of spilled over into my n.d.p. I also have a Yahoo group I host called,"KnifeKnutsAknonymous"

Just my name, Chuck Gollnick. That's my picture as my avatar. And I do, in fact, live in Sherwood, Oregon.

Mine is nothing special, just first letters of my first (Edward) and last (Zagiansky) names. I generally use this nickname in the web.
Ed

My AIM is roofdweller49, named after my friend who is park_dweller and the rolex sea dweller watch. I was Garagedweller on the corvetteforum, so I'm Garageboy, since I was too lazy to write the whole thng

Well I earned the nickname Biff in school, (no not a preppy east coast school) actually not shure how. I was skating with Team Rollerblade folks a lot and one of them saw my work shirt that naturally had the name "Biff". I say naturally because I worked with three ohter Steves and it was just easier.
So one of the guys from the east coast was sick of the bowling shirt phase
(at least thats what he told me) and added "Fashion" to it. Well everybody had a good laugh- well everyone except me. So 16+ years later I wear that name proudly as only I can.

glockman99

glock...My favorite pistol.

man...I'm a male.

99...The year I bought my computer and got "on-line".

Jimmy Buffett tune. The "y" which makes it like Spyderco was completely unintentional. Just one of those happy circumstances.

Sincerely,
Anthony
