What's Your Story.....

Double meaning:
1: "S-second" sounds like "a second," as in "wait a second." Meaning that I won't tolerate wrongdoing.

2: 'S' is the initial of my first name. "2nd" as in the second amendment.

Hydraulic fracturing is the process of pumping high pressure fluids to break underground rocks. Sand or high strength synthetic material is often pumped into the resultant crack to prop it open to facilitate the flow of oil or gas to the wellbore.

One of my passions is Jazz and there was/is/will be no greater artist within that genre than the late John Coltrane aka "Trane". Therefore, my handle "trane fan". (I pray my Wife never figures out how much I've spent on Jazz CDs   :D ;) .)

I was an entry team leader on a part time tactical team while stationed in South Korea. The call sign for the position was Lobo-1 (8th Fighter Wing is the "wolfpack") an 03 is the year I started posting.

Anyone seen Star Trek:Nemesis? The Romulans had a battle cruiser, or "warbird", named the Scimitar. And since a scimitar is a knife...

My e-mail is msqu@atlantic.net. I was new to computers and the whole cyberspace thing when I found BFC and wanted to join. I needed a name I could remember so a little vowel here and a little vowel there and you have my misque monicker.
I've been hedging around about changing over to my real name, but at present, am still undecided.

user name because I was a GRUNT(U.S.ARMY INFANTRY)for 8 years and I went to Saudi/Iraqfor Desert Shield/Storm. I also was stationed in Panama and participated in OP. Just Cause.

When I first started online about ten years ago, I tried all kinds of old nicknames for e-mail and other accounts. All of them were taken unless I wanted to append extra numbers or letters, which I didn't. So I picked a name that I figured no one would have, based on the latin name for one of my favorite trees, the sugar pine. Pinus Lambertiana. It was either that or one of the species names from paleontology, another of my hobbies.

I decided on Walking Man, because I'm walking through the miles of my life. I think it's important to keep on walking throughout all of your life, but not run so you miss what's important.

Misque, I like your name, it sounds mysterious, like mystery and masque (as in masquerade ball) rolled into one. I vote you keep it, but what do I know? ;)

well mine come from the fact i'm a old cowboy at heart and live in arizona and one of my favorite old west people was Wyatt Earp and one day the name just came to me yiterp(y-it-erp) and my friends call me wyatt because i have a stash close to the one he had

saw an SNL sketch, and "All Your Blood" was one of their fake band names they made up. i liked the sound of it at the time. then...

when i used to work at Toys R Us, folks inexplicably pronounced my name "Ah-Bay" instead of Abe (i live a bit north of the border, so we would get a lot of spanish-speakers). in order to either force people to pronounce my name correctly, or at least confuse the hell out of them, i ordered a new name tag and spelled my name "Ayb".

one day i was thinking of that same SNL sketch again, and it clicked that A-Y-B could stand for "allyourblood". i now use the name for one of my real life music projects.

or whatever.

I was trying to come up with a forum name while my wife walked by! She kissed me on the cheek (I must have done something right, can't figure out what it was! :D ) and promtly said "Damn, it's like kissing a porcupine!" (I have a full beard!) Name problem solved!
