what's your top 5 camp blades

Becker BK1 Brute
Kershaw Outcast
CS Bolo Machete

I have a BK9 on the way, that I can't wait to put up aginst the BK1.

I am still working on these (I have 4 blanks, and have yet to start grinding) hopefully they will become my new favorite chopper. I call it the 2012 - the year some folks think everything comes to an end...this is the knife I would want to have

The only knife I have larger than 7 inches is a Swamprat battlerat. It is a wicked blade for cutting up small trees and stays sharp forever.

I have a Bob Lay Bowie and a Kelsey Creek GUS knife on order.

I only have one right now, the HI 16.5" WWII:

Kershaw Model 1005 Survival
Gossman PSK
Gossman PSKsr
Scibeer Woodsman SAK

So far I am happiest with Scott's knives, and I am hoping to get a 6" Tusker as my main camp blade soon.

When I say camp blades I'm referiing specifically to your larger blades.. 7-12 inches.. and I'll include axes up to 14 inches in length for you axe folks...

I havn't owned many of the larger knives but here's mine in no particular order, subjct to change however as I explore this topic more.

Aside from a Fiskars 18" axe, don't own anything 7" yet. I have a scrapyard SOD on order (7.5"). Thats it....

Aside from a Fiskars 18" axe, don't own anything 7" yet. I have a scrapyard SOD on order (7.5"). Thats it....

I'm pretty sure that SOD will be all you need camp-wise !!!;)

1. Dogfather
2. Camp Tramp
3. Scrapper 6 (this should count, it's 6.5")
4. SOD (hopefully on it's way soon!)

Don't have any others in that size range...

1. Busse CGFBM
2. Wetterlings 19" Hunter's Axe
3. Ranger RD7
4. Bark River Rogue
5. Roselli Leuku (which I do not own yet >:( )

The only blade over 7" I own now is my NWA camp knife and it's more than enough knife to handle all the big stuff for sure. Right behind it is my Trailsman form Brian Goode, with a 6" blade it's right at the edge of being a big knife.

Here are four of mine. Three I made and one is a make over from an old butcher knife. They are 13, 8, 7 and six inches long. The top three have temporary handles to test the blades. These are super tough and I have put them in a vice in the garage and hit them sideways several times with a 3 lb shop hammer. I chopped a couple 4x4's in half with the 13 incher. I also have about 8 machetes including Merco, Cold Steel Tram and Condor.
