What's your traditional, "over the counter" hunting knife?

Surprised no one has mentioned a Shrade Sharpfinger. I've seen some old & well used ones around these parts.

I did mention the little finger. I have the original, the drop point and the little finger. I'll put them in a group shot for yall.

Spyderco Bill Moran Drop Point!

For the money it is the perfect game knife. Super easy to clean, and still grippy with the rubber inserts in the handle.

I love VG10 as well.

I use an SAK or Buck 501 for squirrel hunting, never really got into deer hunting but if i did I would definitely choose a Buck 102 or a US made Sharpfinger

This has turned into a nice thread...thanks everyone for participating. I thought it might be a fun thread to bring in deer season. Like some of you here, I got out of hunting for a time. In fact last year was the first time I had gone hunting in 16 years. Biggest reason was that my son who had recently turned 13, said he wanted to go hunting. Then my brother-in-law, purchased an old farm nearby so it was just a very nice opportunity to get back into it. I bought my son a Marlin 30-30 last year (I borrowed a rifle last year), and picked myself up a Savage 110 for this season (as I had sold off my deer rifles). As I said earlier, I gave him my older Buck 110, and used one of my newer Walmart Buck 110' as a replacement. I've become so accustomed to the Buck 110, I don't think I'd be inclined to switch...I guess it's the nostalgia of it...although it does a fine job dressing deer to boot.

I use a Randall Made 19-5 now but for years and years I used a Schrade PH2 it was cheap when I bought it but that was 20ish years ago.
