What's your unemployment rate?

It's running about 8.5%, but that doesn't include all those that either moved away or have given up looking for work.
 
About 7 percent here. I find it hard to believe it is that low. Over half of my union "Bricklayers" is out of work right now. I have been off for the last 3 weeks. Got the call I was looking for about noon today. I am to show up for work at 7:30 on Friday. I have to drive 60 miles each way but it's work.:D
 
About 6.5% here in New Zealand.

I Hope you guys get some Change soon (for the better I mean).
 
Well, thought I'd better report in again. Unemployment in my county has reached 13.9%. Rumor is it'll hit 14% before the new year. This is not counting the people who have flat given up the idea of finding work in this economy. Factor that in and it may be over 15%, maybe even upwards of 18%. Who knows?
I do know there are one heckuva lotta "For Sale" signs in front of houses around my neighborhood.

My wife keeps telling me that we should buy one of those cheap houses in America. Seems like a good idea but I don't want to live there and I don't want the hassle of trying to manage a rental property from the other side of the planet.

About the rental property, I know that's right. No way, no thank you.
You could use it as a vacation house.

If you wait a few more years, maybe the Chinese will give you a good deal on a vacation house here. They should own it all by then.:D
 
Its now approx 16% here in Fresno County.
 
about 10 % here in indiana, would be lower if the people on unemployment would take the low paying jobs 8-12 an hour, plenty of positions to be filled. since they make the same on unemployment their not going to work until uncle same cuts them off.
