Maybe It's just be but I never really understood the fascination with machetes. I just don't think they do anything exceptionally well unless you count chopping light vegetation in your way. They aren't thick enough or heavy enough to chop that effectively, they usually don't have much of a point for stabbing ,and they are usually not designed or sharp enough for slashing. I just don't think they would work all that great as a weapon.I mean it doesn't do anything exceptionally well.

Just an FYI, my cold steel Barong machete and Panga machete have successfully completed free hanging rope cuts, 2x4 chop and shave, and, with the Panga, multiple 90 degree flexes. Never underestimate the benefits of a good sharpening job on mediocre steel. If CS would make them just a little harder, they'd be perfect.

Are those pictures of Vlad The Impaler on the AK? Wierd.

Vlad Tepes in Romania is regarded as a national hero of a sort...I used to work with a Romanian who did nothing but praise him and what he did for Romania, its a pretty crazy thing to have on a rifle though lol.

Here are some from another post.

I have a handful of dedicated throwing tools, from knives to 2 hawks, and Bad Axe, Special forces shovel, and a poll axe head mounted on a pick handle.

Blade hold

I finally broke that stump clean in half. It has been a splitting stump for as long as I can remember. Cut that with my dad when I was a real young kid. I had to replace it with a newer stump.

I actually had to put the stumps in the back yard away for a while, but I made a 6+ foot 3 foot wide throwing target out of 5 or 6 4x4's together. The only problem, is that now, a couple months of throwing knives and axes at it, it is now getting bare enough in spots that I occasionally find one of the deck screws with an edge and really ding it good (I don't throw any infi at it anymore. Not since it was new). I need to think of a better way to make a target, that makes the wood last longer. Stumps are the best, and the easiest to stick into, but get very heavy, and don't offer as much target area as a big wall of boards.

I have more video's of throwing hawks, and knives.

I really need to get some vids of me throwing that 5 lb battle ax. The real reason I made the taller target what that the stumps were not tall enough to throw that beast a full spin.
