I have a 8" Bader wheel that I ran across at a flea market. It's in rough shape, does anybody know where I can get it refurbished.
Thanks

You can send it to Bader, they'll true it for $20, if it needs recovering they'll have to quote you. Give them a call:
(518) 753-4456

You might ask sunray-inc.com if they do that sort of thing. They use a urethane rubber rather than vulcanized rubber. Works fine and is a WHOLE LOT cheaper!

I've had good luck turning elastomer on a lathe using a corner of an aluminum cutting geometry endmill. Make of that what you will...

You can do this on your grinder. You drive the wheel with a belt and setup your cutter behind the wheel and upside down (think about it) and feed across with a cross slide table or rotary cross slide. Make of that what you will...
