Wow that is a nice knife! I'd love to be able to make something like that. I just don't have all the equipment.

I would say when you can do it all yourself. having the equipment, the steels, handle materials and are able to do all the processing, I would say that counts. A lot of knife makers who have large production scales usually don't HT themselves just because of the time that it takes to develop a good HT.
