When Christmas Comes Early….

Miss Marple wishes everybody a Merry Christmas.
Just kidding. The pic is from a couple years ago, when she was a kitten, and the darn cat don't care about anybody but herself.

Here's one of my wife & Gunny. We live pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and every day we take a walk back the road. If three vehicles pass us during our couple hour walk, that's a busy day. Every year we pick some scraggly tree along the road & hang a few decorations it. This is the lucky one.

There are quite a few black bear around here, and she's had a few bear scares over the years while walking the dogs alone. She can't carry or shoot anything bigger, so a small 9mm is better than nothing. While it won't put a bear down, emptying a mag into one might make it want to go do something else. (Or, it may just make it really mad.)

Cats in Christmas Trees…the bane of the season. We had a cat years ago that habitually ate the needles off of the Christmas tree and promptly puked them up every morning. I had to invest in a steam cleaner. We now have a living room with French doors, so we can see the tree while keeping the cats out. It’s a Christmas season game changer. 😿

I live in a suburb, but we get bears too.
