When did you get your first knife?

I was 8 and recieved a scout knife for about two days until I cut myself and it disappeared for a short period of time till my dad found it and cautioned me not to "misplace" it again. Steven
 
I think I was about 7 or 8 when I had demonstrated enough responsibility in knife handling to start carrying a knife of my own.
 
Still have my first knife.
My grandfather took it off a suspect on patrol in the 50's. He gave it to me when I was 13 I think. However, it was taken by my parrents untill I was 15. Can't blame them, it's a pretty big knife for a 13year old. It's still my go-to fishing knife.:D

About 10. Found it in a relative's yard back then.
Lost since lost, but, many memories of it.
 
got mine when i was 7 it was a SAK classic with the scout emblem inlaid below the Vic shield.
 
Must have been 7. Was a fixed blade with a drop point design.

My son will say: " I was 5, when i get my first SAK for X-mas!":D
 
..got a little Neu Schwanstein Castle souvenir knife from the gift shop when i was four or five. at six i got a cheese plastic handled "deerslayer" that i loved, it just would not cut anything. around 8 my aunt who had travelled the world started to give me knives from, n- africa, maccedonia, finland, s- africa, sweden, the balkans, syria, jemen etc .... unfortunately most of the collection was stolen when i left it with my parents and they moved .....

Not sure of the age (pre-teen, I think). My father bought 3 Victorinox Classics in 3 different colors - 1 for my brother, 1 for me, and 1 for him. He knew ahead of time that either my brother or I would lose ours and try to take the other siblings SAK if they were the same color. Smart man. :) Mine has gone missing over the years, but my father still carries his on a daily basis.
 
My Grandpa made me a small blunt tip cane knife (long handled gardening knife) when I was 3. Got my first pocket knife at 5.
 
I was around 8 yrs old. Got a used no-name 2 bladed folding knife. Here were my instructions...Don't cut yourself with it and don't stab anybody with it. Been hooked on em ever since.
