My BK11 has the bottle opener, and at work overnight I drink bottled cold brew coffees, so that is helpful.
And I also brew my own beer, and we bring a few bottles whenever we are out in the desert, on the river, etc.

My blades have never saved my life Nikki, but they have made it a great deal easier.

This is really what I think. If you have it, you've planned well and know that it's a tool to be used. It is fun to read the stories of how they are actually used, though, even if it is just to open some fruity beer.

Used mine last night to clear some low hanging branches that were obscuring my home made pitch and putt course....not life saving, but vitaly stress reducing.
