When I fancy a Starbucks instaed of a hike !!!

Believe it or not I don't always fancy forest walking and sometimes opt for a bit of pavement walking with a stop off at Starbucks !

Anyways that's what I did today and thought I'd take a few pics for you guys, this is around 10 mins drive from me so is nice and handy !!!!

Straight out the car so Maisy had to answer the call of nature !!!

Man, I really dig that 7th picture. Very cool lighting and shadows. Do you have a larger version of it that you would be willing to share? I can mess around with it and make it a nice desktop wallpaper.

Sorry bro but I'm very computer illiterate so I don't know how to help ya out !!!:o
 
I take it you are camera literate? When you take your photos, how many megapixals do you use? Possibly when you upload the picture to photobucket, it automatically is compressed to 800x600.

If you could email the original photo, then it should stay in it's original size which would look better as a background.

P.S. I would also like to use that same pic for my background. It is Beautiful! If you are willing to share, you can try and email me and storl the original photo that is on your computer. I would appreciate if you do.

Either way, nice pictures, as always.
 
Pit, you are becoming a photographer I think...I currently have one from your last post as my screne saver. Good stuff....what do you do that you can go for walks everyday??? I wish I could. Gene

Say bro is that a whistle or something on Massie's collar?
Can you fish right of the rocks there or the dock? That's where you would find me on any given free day FISHING!

Here is the full size version at photobucket. The full size one is still low resolution. :(

Do they automatically downsize when uploading? I am wonder if he is shooting at a higher resolution and photobucket just doesn't let you access that. I usually use flickr and know that they will resize it for you to several sizes, but you can still get the original image.
 
those are some awesome pics.

But I would have to pass on starbucks. They use stale overroasted coffee.

I prefer fresh roasted coffee from my home espresso machine

Yes I already found out that the photobucket one was only 800x600. I'm pretty sure that photobucket automatically compresses your photos when you upload them. Let me check, I have a photobucket account.

That is why he needs to email us the photo that is on his desktop, because it will be full size.

I have flickr as well, and they will let you change what size you upload them as, but you are still limited.

ETA: Yes, all photos uploaded to photobucket are resized to 800x600. I checked my photobucket account and all my photos are 800x600, and I know some of them were taken at 8megapixels which is much larger than 800x600.
 
My pics go onto photobucket at 1024x768, but I usually resize them when I go to post on the forum because we're supposed to either limit them to 800x600 or thumbnail them.
 
I think the object on the dogs collar is a Pelican Industries strobe lite. I've seen them in kayak and dive shops to help you be seen in low light/dark conditions. I think they run on 1 aa batt. Pelican makes some cool hard use products. Great pics ( and dog) btw.
 
You can set your options in photobucket (even on a free account) to let you use pictures up to 1 megabyte in size. This usually ends up being around 1280X1024 or larger, if you recompress with good software before uploading.
