I received the Mnandi from 7-24 production, and when I took it in my hand, I found that the wood patch was loose and had gaps in it, and I gently took it off by hand, very easily, without even needing any tools.

Definitely not normal. Have you reached out to CRK about this?
edit: Your additional comments weren't showing up for me at first. Even if you aren't able to send it back, I'm sure they'd appreciate being notified about the issue.
I believe CRK uses a 3M brand double sided tape to secure the inlays. I think if you do some searching around here you will be able to find discussions about it.
Sorry, I'm an international buyer and even contacting crk doesn't help!
Thank you! I'm ready to spend the money to recreate a pair of patches. That is great advice sharpstuff. I would certainly forward those photos attached to an email message explaining your problem, to their CS department. I would be shocked if you didn't get a reply or response. Bummer man. I hate seeing quality issues with new knives, especially CRK. Good luck!
Thank you! I'm ready to spend the money to recreate a pair of patches.Id still get in to contact with CRK and notify them of the issue. Maybe they could mail you out a die cut piece of VHB (unlikely but you never know!)
Either Avery or 3M VHB tape should get you sorted. clean the hell out of everything prior to applying and sticking it down.

I am in Europe (France), I had to contact CEK nice and they took care of me.Also, as an international buyer, it's obvious that I'd have trouble sending it back to the mothership to fix the problem, so I'll just have to deal with the issue myself.
If so that would be the most convincing fake I've seen of a CRK.Is it possible the OP’s knife is a knockoff?

The first thing you should have done was write to the CRK company and add all these pictures and explanations, at least you had time to write it on the forum.Sorry, I'm an international buyer and even contacting crk doesn't help!
I'm glad so many people helped me, but I couldn't manage to tell the crk company, because the answer I'd get would probably be to send it back to be reprocessed, which would be too tiring for me as an international buyer, and I might as well just buy a new crk for that effort. The first thing you should have done was write to the CRK company and add all these pictures and explanations, at least you had time to write it on the forum.

I'm surprised how quickly people react to write issues on the forum and seek help from the forum, when the first thing they should do is to contact the owner, CRK company.
