So a relatively new "Registered User" contacts me about a knife I have for sale and ends out buying it ($350). 2 months later they put it on eBay for $1350. Turns out they have almost 1000 feedback for sales (mostly knives) along with around 40 other knives listed in their eBay "STORE". Just in the past month they've sold close to 40 knives on eBay.

Does that make them a dealer?

It does, but not here. If they were trying to sell them here, then they would have to purchase the required membership.

.... this. Buying here does not impact on your status only selling. If the individual is Liu Kang... or Wang ;) then there should be some preheated tar and a nice crop of feathers prepared for him.

If they are not selling here then simple, no. They gave you your asking price, that or you accepted there offer. How very nice of them

There are several that only use this site for that reason.
Seldom, or never, post anywhere but the exchange, and they buy for resale on Ebay.

This isn't against BF rules, and I don't mind it a bit since it helps us sell here.
I don't care what somone does with a knife I sell them here, as it is theirs once they buy it.

The only ones that bother me is when they buy a used or reconditioned knife here, and then list it as never been used on Ebay. I've seen that happen with a Sebenza this year. They bought it, had it refurbished, and then sold it on Ebay without mentioning it had been refurbished.

If you're talking about that Elishewitz with the inlays, I think he's smoking crack if he thinks it'll sell for that. But you never know.

DrFish, I agree... But there are crazy folks out there and who knows?????

Very well said, sums it up perfectly...

As for anyone buying on eBay, they have a recourse if the knife is not in the condition that it was advertised.
PP and eBay are buyer protection based to no end.

I had a look at his items for sale and complete sales and... OMG, there are crazy folks out there. I can't believe people are buying that stuff.
