Every year or so, gather up your collections and sort them into piles, one's that will go, maybe go, and will stay. Now start handling them, the ones that have lost the spark sell or trade. That's it, simple as that.
As to prices, it's tougher now, but the good mid-ranged stuff ($50-500) still moves pretty well. I would not sell during the summer, winter is the best season.
