When is Serrated useful and when is it not?

The only knife I like serrated is a bread knife.:D

Stretchy plastic. SE snags and rips it open, PE just gets gummed up unless you can pull a piece taught (hard to do one handed).

Properly sharpened, it'll handle paper fine. Some foods, like apples, not so much.

Shaving and small precise cuts are really the only weaknesses. For the former use a straight razor and the latter use a pair of scissors on a multitool.
