OK maybe I missed it but I just have to know. When is the new baliyo coming out? I have been drooling over it ever since it was first shown.

I heard 30-80 should be expected for the price range on these guys.
Don't expect metal in the construction other than weights and bushings to help the action. From what I read over on the factory forum, Sal is marketing these as toys, and making them of metal would shift them into the weapon class.
I thought so too but since Spyderco is usually spot-on with their products I figured I'd at least give it a shot before complaining. If the handles are as tough as the FRN they use then I don't think there'll be problems. That's really disappointing. Plastic/toy quality is going to really diminish the cool factor for this thing. I'd love a sleek, attractive, heavy balisong pen to keep in my shirt pocket. A plastic obvious toy ruins the whole effect--especially at the prices I've been hearing.

For a pen made of plastic? 15-25 sounds more reasonable to me...
Come on, that's stupid.
A regular metal pen doesn't become more of a weapon just because you put a pair of hinges on it.
