...what services/options do you have them do? The site for Peters Heat Treat lists a lot of options and I'm not sure what to ask for.

What would you have done for blades made of A2 and D2?

Thanks

Email Brad and tell him the steel type and desired hardness. Then ask if there's anything else you should ask for -- discussions on his forum don't seem to include other services for the knife blades from that type of steel.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the info. I will discuss all with Brad. Do you have his email address? I could not find it on his site. Also, do you have the location of his forum?

Since Paul Bos is in the next state over from you , the shipping will be cheaper which has always seemed to balance out the cost difference in the service . He will pick the best Rc. for the style of the knife if you are in doubt .

I will continue to use Buck Knives (i.e. Paul Bos) whenever I have more than just one or two blades to heat treat. I need to justify the minimum charge.

Mike L.
