Guys, that's an AF bird, and while purple is all the rage, it's probably a PJ

Sailors aren't the only guys who swim.

MMMMM! Teriyaki Great White. Anybody have some Soy Sauce? :D How about shark steak? :D

I thought that is what they called trolling, only where is the hook? Live bait is always the best, but sometimes they scream too much and scare away the fishies.

That is a helo from Moffett Field in Cali. It is indeed a PJ and not a SEAL. Those guys are a Reserve unit. They also work out of San Diego.

I KNEW someone would call me on the SEAL thing. Fact is, my guess was that it was not a SEAL about to be eaten (just a guess). But the title sounded so clever- "When Sharks go after Air Force guys" didn't have the same ring. You know- seals? Arf arf arf? C'mon people, throw me a bone here!

PS: Thanks, Ryan, for the info!

Ryan,
Thanks for the conformation.
There is a reason why this medium is called the error.net.
Then again, why let truth stand in the way of a good story?

Hmmm.... sounds like NBC!

That was a excellent article on FSBE in the new issue of SWAT. I hope to see more articles from you in the mag.

Frank,
Thank you Sir! Glad you liked it. How much more that gets into SWAT depends on the response the editor gets.
Should be a few more coming down the line though. I appreciate the feedback- nice to know that someone is reading it!

If you also look closely, you'd see that the photo is a reverse negative. The refueling probe should be on the other side of the helo. Damn developers!

Also, if you look closely, you'll see a GIGANTIC SHARK jumping out of the water, about to eat the diver (and maybe the helo!). YEAH!!!
:p

LOL! No doubt! But do they really get that big in the bay? (that's some scary sh!t!)
