This bowie is a low count High Contrast Damascus (15n20 and 1084) with a partial twist. The blade has been coated with lemon juice then with mustard to give an aged patina. The blade features a false edge, filework on the spine and under the choil.

The guard is a half penny nickel quillion guard. The handle is curly maple that is left as a matt finish with a leather washer just behind the guard. Due to the length of the blade the balance of the blade is just above the choil. The knife has a little cleaning up to do to get all the mustard off at this point. Better pics available upon request.

Measurements:

overall: 14 1/4"
Cutting edge: 8 5/8"
blade thickness: 3/16" Damascus
Guard: nickel Widest: 4"
Handle: 4 5/8"

Cost $350.00 comes with sheath and delivered to the lower us states. Overseas will be a little extra for shipping. Just email. Paypal is dpknifemaker@aol.com

This is the first patina that I had done that did not take forever. I used the lemon juice under the mustard, took a total of 12 hrs, and three coats...... thanks guys for the comments.........definately a period piece
