When someone has been given much... WINNER PICKED

I'll play please. I'm very blessed to come home from whatever I have been doing and have my wife and two girls anxiously awaiting my arrival. I know some gents don't have this luxury for whatever reason- but it's one that I wish never to take for granted.

My job (teacher) also allows me to have the summer off to play with my two young girls and help my wife around the house as needed. Oh yes, we have all sorts of fun adventures around the neighborhood planned for this summer! Wouldn't want it any other way.

I too am blessed in a similar way on the forums, but with Father's Day around the corner, it reminds me how thankful I am for a kind, loving, patient dad who has always been there for his family. Waking up before 4:00 AM to go to work doesn't sound fun. It shouldn't take some holiday to remind me off this, but unfortunately, it sometimes does.
Thanks dad! And thank you leatherman64 for the giveaway. Great knife! If i win, I suppose that'll make me due for another GAW too!

I've been looking over my grandfather's old Camillus and I received another in a lot of 'parts knives'. I'd love to make it three in my collection. Please count me in. I'm privately considering my good fortune, thank you.

I don't really want an entry on this one but loved the post and that is one gorgeous Camillus. I treasure some of my old battle scarred traditionals more than some of my high end knives. Love thinking of the history. I owe all of the enjoyment to the forum here. As a noob, I broke some rules (not on purpose) and the entire community was helpful, and the mods very forgiving. This is truly a special place full of special people and I can't express how much I'm glad to be a part of it. I've found more honesty and integrity in the men and women here than anywhere else in my life other than my own father and his brother, my uncle, who were two of the most honorable men I ever met.
I'm rambling but the post struck achord with me and wanted to say this.

Thanks everyone and I know that Camillus will be cherished by the next owner.

Not an entry. Just wanted to echo all the positives that everyone else has said about this traditionals forum and to share my experiences. I have been blessed to survive 5 months of chemotherapy and I'm thankful for everyday that I can share with the wonderful people here. Just yesterday I was again blessed by the generosity of a forummer here (Chief) who is sending a highly treasured TC Barlow halfway around the world to me - someone whom he hardly knows. Kindness like this is rare in the world today and even more so on the Net. Like Hale Storm said, this is truly a special place with special people.

I'm sure that Camillus will go to a good home.

I'm in! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I can say that I am blessed to have not only have beaten the odds and gotten into veterinary school, but have survived to my clinical year. And while I was here, I met and married my wonderful wife. I can definitively say that I swung two great home runs on that one.

Great idea for the GAW. It's always good to stop and think about how truly blessed we are in this world. There's so many things to be thankful for instead of focusing on the stuff we sometimes complain about.

Please count me in.

I'm in. Just last weekend, my 4 year old nearly fell about 30 feet, when we were hiking up to a waterfall. It easily could have been a disaster. He would have hit rock on the landing, and then bounced into the mountain stream, and been tumbled down the mountain.

Not an entry, but a great giveaway, very much in the spirit of this wonderful place, which I feel blessed to be able to visit :)

Please count me in, what a great idea as well.

I have been fortunate and blessed with many wonderful things, especially in the last 10 yrs. There have been some very tough times, which only make the "normal" every day things we take for granted even sweeter. I have so much to be thankful for.

The best blessing I received lately was from a much less fortunate person than myself, who was begging for money at a stoplight. I searched frantically around my car for some change and the only thing I could reach for before the light changed was my lunch in a plastic bag which had a granola bar, an apple and unopened bottle of water left in it. The relief and joy on his face was amazing to see, as he must have been very hungry. His response "God Bless You Sir" has carried me through some good days to make them even better and reminds me that I am indeed very blessed.

Thanks for the chance.

Thank you very much for the opportunity, Edan! A most excellent GAW! I own no vintage knives so I am in, please!

I've been a 911 Police Dispatcher for almost ten years now and it has been a front row seat to some of the most tragic miseries humanity can muster. It's made me realise that I have so much to be thankful for... for the things I have and the things I don't.

Good luck to all! :)

Not an entry. I have been blessed beyond measure. In short, through the love of Christ I have been given life, perspective, and a family. My daughter was born with a bleeding disorder that they still are not sure what it is. She is now 16 months and full of laughter. As a new dad, and on fathers day, I know I am unaware of all my blessings. I also know I would not be living today due to drugs, alcohol, etc from my past if it were not the love of Christ. In short my daughter has life because Christ saved mine. Thanks for the opportunity to share. Happy fathers day to all dads.

Thanks for your kind offering. I'm in. I always know that I'm blessed every day that I've been given life here on Earth. Kindness and helping others is my humble offering for the Grace I've received.
