  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

when the Man finds you fatwooding.....

dont forget all the limos they drove in copenhagen! (3000) that alone would setback ANY sort of climate change reductions. Its all a big $cam, designed to make US pay THEM.

Mother Nature will consume all traces of mankind. Mankind, despite his attempts at world destruction, is nothing but an insignificant speck of dust on her skin. There will come a time when mama nature will destroy us all and there will be no trace we ever existed.

we are but on this Earth for a very short time.

Log it, mine it, burn it, pave it, consume it, RACE IT! because when the time comes.........we will be wiped off mother earths face like a bit of ketchup on her lips.

Exactly, might as well enjoy it while its here, without destroying everything in site mind you, but it ain't gonna last forever no matter what we do.

Celsius

Scale of temperature, previously called centigrade, in which the range from freezing to boiling of water is divided into 100 degrees, freezing point being 0 degrees and boiling point 100 degrees.

The degree centigrade (°C) was officially renamed Celsius in 1948 to avoid confusion with the angular measure known as the centigrade (one hundredth of a grade). The Celsius scale is named after the Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius, who devised it in 1742 but in reverse (freezing point was 100°; boiling point 0°).

"well, you cant do that here."

Better to leave it for the next lightning strike to ignite and burn down the whole forest.

I'd like to comment on "leave no trace" and the parallel concept "pack in, pack out".

The wilds are beautiful in their own way, I know everyone here appreciates that. They are not enhanced by the handsomest soda bottle, the most resplendent candy wrapper.

Moving through wild country, stopping to rest and eat, even continuing on human trails, is not changing the essential nature or look of the land. Carry out what you brought in, don't tear up an area to spoil it for the next wanderer.

But using and living on the land? 10,000 years ago, that's what we all did. With extensive urbanization, the few who still get out of town are not the problem, are not exerting unacceptable stress on the high country.
