Noticed this one on a Dutch forum.
Offcourse it is just a Photoshopped Izula but are there plans to create one?
I would buy it without the ugly clip on it.

I don't think that's photoshopped. Patiently waiting for one of these, I hope the prod. version looks the same.

That image was created for a contest here on the RAT forum and was not created by anyone involved with RAT.

With that said, expect the folder to be pretty close to that rendering.

so it is shopped? that's a pretty damn good job. (at least better than i could do...which isn't saying much!)

Nice rendering. I would snap one of those up. What steel are they planning to use (carbon I hope)?

Who said it was going to be 440C? The blade is going to be D2

omg you guys are coming out with a folding izula that looks like that! ill be buying 10 no make that 15! i better start saving now, thats badassssss....

personally for a folder i think d2, s30v, 154cm. and vg1 or vg10 are some of the best steals. i like carbon for my fixed survival blades(thought for high humidity there a pain in the ass)

Yes it is and it was designed by a member here.

That is far from photoshop...if it was only that easy. As for the clip, you probably only saw that picture and i dont think its ugly:)
I'm very proud that RAT considered something i did worthy enough to be in their superb line up, especially since i think RAT cutlery is by far the best company out there. Thank you, Jeff!
As far as steel goes, i dont understand all the fuss, its RAT, and they dont make bad products.

Tomso,

That's probably one of the nicest desigend folders we have seen in a long time and we truly appreciate you considering us to build it. Progress is moving along on the project. We have all the cad work finished but it's going to be after SHOT before we can get prototypes done. We were hoping to have protos finished before SHOT but it got side-tracked. Anyway, once it is done it is going to make a nice addition to the Izula family.

Again, much thanks. And as far as steel goes, I have learned not to worry too much about what everyone thinks. No matter what you make it out of there will be just as many that say it should have been something else as there are those that like it. No big deal. Like you said, it's RAT Cutlery so quality, warranty and function are going to be in place. ;)

OK now that the Rats out of da bag, When ,where and how much?

Where you been? It's been out of the bag for a long time. The other thread has exact price, the day they will ship, all the dealers who have them ordered and the 4 different steel combos they are coming in.

Out of curiosity, do you know which 3D program that was created in? The reason I ask is because that's what I do for a living (3D illustration), and that's a really well done piece.
