When will civivi make an axis lock?

maybe Civivi is like Benchmade in that they make button locks but not axis locks (omitting the FG) and Benchmade makes axis locks but not button locks or anything else really.

When will civivi make an axis lock?
They do make the Vision FG with the Superlock. Same fidget factor as a Sliding Bar Lock with a more secure lockup and a Shark-Lock-Like mechanism. Check it out.

I have never found the Axis to be inherently weak given how it tends to fail. I don't have an Axis knife with 20 years on it, but I haven't broken any on my Adamas knives, and they have seen some hard use at work.

I have always tried to be glass half full. So if my Axis lock breaks a spring at work, I should be able to limp along until I get home to change out the springs (I have a couple spares kicking around). If I'm out in parts unknown and happen to break two springs, I'd just jam a stick in there. Not perfect but the knife would work fine.

I do tend to prefer a well fitting frame lock on most knives, but if you pressed me to choose one folder to take out into the woods, I think I would go with my Adamas.

That said, I think there are locks that can and have been made better than the Axis. I would guess that other non proprietary locks work well enough without having to invest in tooling and replacement parts since Benchmade kinda just owns the market on these types of locks.

We Knife just showed a prototype for a crossbar lock knife under the We brand; apparently it's a collaboration with Dutch Bushcraft Knives. I'm sure a Civivi with that lock will be soon to follow.
