It's on!!!! The G4 is online, at least on Boker's German webpage. Til now, no specs and no pic, but it's on!!! Gotta calm down now...
 
I still don't have an ETA, and haven't even seen a proto yet.
I'm impatiently awaiting this one myself.

Looks like they refined the recoil area. It looks a bit narrower. Me likey!!! The blade also looks a bit more compact as the one Chad showed us but i'm not sure. Picture perspective of Chad ones looks different.

I really can' t wait for that knife, especially after seeing it in my new Böker catalog, unfortunately however there is no info in the catalog on when it' s going to be released:(

I'm curious chad did not reply yet.... and seeing from the pics the refined one looks promissing.

2009 catalog being viewable but not download-able on boker.de :confused:.

Sorry...been busy in HELL...:mad:

You are correct...the G4 picture you found will look like that as opposed to the one I have. I asked for a few changes to be made from the pre-production proto I got, and Boker liked the changes so...;)

More..."refined" it will be.

According to the specs 22.7 cm overall 9.9 cm blade. This darn thing will be even bigger then the Direkt?? Being 20.8/9.1 cm.:eek:

Maybe skeletonizing the liners could cut down the wait a bit, it being 154 grams but not much i guess?

And why does the Direkt does not show up in online 2009 catalog? I can't find it.

On the "refined' one i find the thumbstud to be alarming close to the handle. I
guess i have to handle one before buying:confused:???

With longer heavier blades a little room between handle and contactpoint needed for gravity.... easier swinging out????

Not mentioning people with fattier fingers /closit like claws like us chad....;)

On the direkt the thumbstud is placed a bit above the axis/spine resulting in excellent action. However we don't have a flipper on this one... So i'm wondering on this one.

Yo Maarten,

No worries...De G4 is een geweldig werkmes...even for those with "fattier fingers".:rolleyes: The "throw" to open the G4 is fine...I just wish the ala Carson Flipper remained.:(

BTW, Wat heb je de laatste tijd uitgevreten? Ik heb het de laatste tijd erg druk gehad...:mad: I hate my day job...Boker needs to hire me full time permanent!!!:o

Long time no see.
Been busy too and a lot going on right here at the moment.

I'm glad the throw is good on the G4. sigh. :D

Emailed you but I'm not sure if that one's still working. Got no reply but i know your buzy as hell! Mine (addy) is still the same. Ill try again.

G4 Should be out soon i think .

The G4 was listed in Blade Magazine under new products available. It's current issue that came out a few days ago. It's awsom looking and the listed prive was great. Not having Boker's other than the AK74's I want to get this one.
1- I love Warncliff blades.
2- I like 440C and I don't care who knows it. ;)

Where's the best place to get Boker's? Who will carry this G4?
Any news on a release date yet? If it made it to Blade Mag it has to be soon..... Right??:)

I have been looking at Boker's lately and like what I see.
This would be my first manual Boker and am looking forward to it.
