Yeah, I have looked into the new Colonial knives in the past. Every time I see something, (like your original posting here), to get me looking at something of theirs again, something then happens to squash the idea.
In this case, reading the very few and pretty negative online reviews about the Colonial Mark 1, plus inspecting the pics of your specimen carefully... well, switched my interest in them off again.
All good, I have some vintage Colonial knives, (not any of which are the Mark 1), to keep me and my eclectic collection hobby happy
