  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Where are all the Manix 2 Lightweight S110V?

I have touched up both of mine with my sharpmakers brown rods. I go from brown flats to white then green stroping compound. The key is to not let s110v get super dull.

I just sent a 110v manix to Big Chris to be thinned behind the edge and to have the spine swedged.

My spare has a sticky lock that just wont break in and is beginning to upset me. It is acts like it has a lot of detent and once it move a little it is fine. I was hoping it would break in but it hasnt. It is really only a issue if my hand is wet or slick but my first s110v manix was perfect out of the box.

I'd be curious to see the results. Please post pics? or send me pics once you have it back from him?
I follow him on FB so if I dig the results, maybe I could have him re-work mine too :)

Will do. He had posted some pics in his "regrind" thread of manix LWs he has worked on.

I have one in my pocket to match my wife's lwbd1. I love it. Excellent heat treat I must say. Thanks Sal and co. We both love our manix knives.

Speaking of "takes a while", anyone tried to sharpen one of these on the good ol' SharpMaker??
I gave up. :p
So far, my (unnamed guided rod system with japanese waterstones) is the only way I've been able to get it to pop hair.

Yeah, I use Diamond sharpener. S110V has hard carbide. I have tried to make it mirror polished... Once...
