I have been using one off and on for a while. There very similar to Moras, a little higher in quality. Yet, I don't hear any comments or people posting pics of these. I think they are great knives. What do you guys think?

I picked up a 6" wood handled Marttiini fishing knife from some forgotten sporting good store about 12 years ago. It's been in my tackle box and done it's duty with no problems. It was cheap enough that i just wash it off and it's back in the box. I've never sharpened it or cared for it at all and it's still super sharp. (Yes i neglect my fishing knife).

:D

i think i like the big silver carbinox, interesting lookin steel. 5%C, 8%Cr...sounds like a certain superstar on this forum sans magic heat treat.

Here's my last (most recent, hopefully not final) Marttiini acquisition: A Ranger 250. Although I think Marttiini intended it to be a looker rather than a worker, I found that it is capable of handling most of the tasks my regular carry knives tackle. It handled batoning just fine, but I didn't push it too hard through gnarly stuff.

I have a few other Marttiinis, and I like them all.

My favorite fixed blade is my rapala big game hunter made by martiini. I got it a couple years ago after finding the grip on my BK-7 was less than satisfactory for buchering our annual winter buck. Best grip ever invented and perfect blade length. when my hands are numb from freezing, I get pretty scared to use a knife with a plastick-y handle for fear that my blood and fat covered hand will slide up the handle and get filleted on the blade. pics will follow!
