Where are all the new Paradigm models Chuck or Joe?

I'd say there must be a reason nobody from Buck will touch the question with a ten-foot pole.......

But what is that reason?

That's the million-dollar question......and a fascinating one.

Sorry to be somewhere else while all this drama was going on. :)
Every now and then I hear bits and pieces on when these models are to be shipped. All of the dates I heard have come and gone so they are still trying to work through whatever it is.
I wish I could give you a firm date but with the history of this project, would you believe me? ;)
On a housekeeping note, if you ever need an answer here in a thread, please send me an email and I will get here. They have me going in so many directions right now, I dont get to visit the forums as much as I want to/ or should. :(

Thanks for a some what informative answer....There must be some big issue to have all these delays.....

I remember the '07 catalogs - Dealer and Consumer alike had the fb Kalinga Pro in S30V - #408. It didn't 'make the scene' until Oct or so of '07 - and was gone by the end of last year. They all have delivery problems. SHOT Show announcements are slow with Benchmade - their 741 Lum 'Onslaught' hit the stores weeks ago, while the much anticipated 755 MPR is still a short term dream. S&W has the same problem with some of their SHOT Show promises - sometimes, it takes months to get the new offerings to the stores.

Oh yeah, we're not talking about a new-for-2010 model - the 336/337 Paradigm models were in last year's catalog - with an August 1, 2009 availability. Oops. Missed that! Maybe one would be better off elsewhere? They did drop those pesky Kalinga Pro's... and the Tom Mayo Ti models - all of these were in S30V, perhaps that is the message. The 337 Paradigm Pro is also S30V - hmmm. Perhaps radio talk show host Glenn Beck knows, after all - he keeps talking about a 'new Paradigm' coming... I wonder, is it the Pro or the Avid??

If we go by the definition of paradigm, it is more confusing - a new 'system of things' - or 'order of operations' - or 'constraint on definitions'. So, the new norm for Buck will be a lot of pre-sell on a knife they cannot put out in a timely fashion? It would seem prudent to get something to the marketplace more quickly - or, swamped in problems, to abandon a kluge. We understand... stuff happens. Someone set me straight, please, if I am all wet!

I think it's more a case of "shit happens."

It's quite likely that all it means is that some problems have cropped up.

That's life.

You all always fill in the blanks with some interesting theories :D

I can't/won't go into details, however we were not happy with the way it flowed through the shop. There is not a design issue or concern

Well, you can't blame folks who want them for trying to figure out why they aren't available, especially when no one from Buck seemed to be able or willing to explain the delay.;)

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I didn't think it was a design issue. My Avid's lock mechanism works like a champ. That's good news Jeff.

Well fellas my concidered opinion is hang in there cause you'll be very happy when you finially get yours. Ask Plum, he owns half of these knives know to have been sold to the public.

I carried one all last week and everyone who saw and handled it, wants one.

That's funny Dave cause I'm getting to same reaction. I like handing it to my buddies and asking them to open it. Not one has got it, but are all very intrigued when I show them and all have said they want one.

Nice knife. I'd be happy to see some in Dymondwood and 420HC. I'm also expecting the knife to downsize like the Vantage.

Talking about you and all your Paradigms. I think your the only fella that has the Pro...you lucky dog:D:D

I know Buck is going through changes nowadays, due to the economy.Whether that has anything to due with the delay of the Paradigm, who knows? I wish they would set up a shop down here where I live on the Border, wages are low and all the BS regulations are not an issue. In NM you can still carry a gun on your hip without some govt. permit.I will wait to get mine, being they are made in the USA!!!
