Where are Amtac Blades manufactured?

Having trained with Bill Rapier, and knowing his background, it's perplexing that he would offer a Chinese-made knife. I'm holding out hope that if it's not US-made, it's at least made somewhere else.
If its not made here, I'm sure it's made somewhere else lol šŸ˜

I hate to burst any bubbles, I've trained with SEALs and other elite units in my former occupation when I was on an SRT...and being a member of an elite military or law enforcement cadre is not necessarily proof of any particular standard of ethics or character outside of that domain.

I believe that most have it, in my experience, but they are subject to the same human flaws and failings as the rest of us and there is sufficient documented evidence of that.

I am not familiar with this company nor its offerings. The only SEAL related knife I own is an AFCK co-designed by Chris Caracci with Benchmade. Chris was one of my first SWAT trainers years ago, and I was surprised when I learned of his involvement with the knife which I had purchased some years after our training together. (It remains a favorite.)

Interestingly enough, I recently finished a book on special forces related matters and Chris' name came up in a less than favorable fashion, though only in the sense of not being particularly up front or honest about some facts related to his time with the teams.

Point being, they're men like the rest of us...flaws and all.

Thanks for all the input. I emailed Amtac to see what they say. I realize everyone has flaws, and understand a moment of weakness or a character defect and can look past it. But if this is a case of persistent deceit, then I choose not to support it. May the same be done unto me if I was the one deceiving… that I may be reoriented toward the good

I figured as much, just poking fun at you.

Deservedly so.

For sure. No 'bubbles' on my end. I was just saying that knowing Bill a little bit, and his general worldview, it's surprising. But I know better than to make that a blanket assumption for all of his colleagues.

I get all my Special Forces knives from these guys.

I know Im late to that party but I believe that Amtac blades are made by harley elmore. Owner of headhunter blades and the popular rat knife. Both Bill and harley are into the sayoc kali knife stuff and if you look at the rat knife on the headhunter webpage, you can see he also offers his knives with a sheath and similar training blade. Maybe Amtac doesn’t answer because it wouldn’t be in their best interest to tell everyone that their knife is made by knife guy with sayoc kali applications. IMO

I think where these blades are made is kind of irrelevant…

I certainly don’t understand the thinking behind an average joe buying a $400+ knife that you’re going to have to chuck or surrender to the poepoe when you actually do use it.

I could think of better knives to collect. If you’re a collector of knives.

Yes a course I own impractical knives too.
