Where are you buying your files?

I had been buying Nicholson files but the newer ones are made in Brazil and not the best quality. I have read that a lot of guys are using Simmons and Pferd (sp?) files. Where can I order these by mail? My local suppliers do not carry these brands. I need some 8 inch flat files preferably with one safe edge in 2nd cut and bastard to make my guards. Any suggestions? I am sure about where to get those particular simmons and pferd but after some research I found out that people are also trusting on some more names like Narex, Blue spruce, vallorbe.

You can try searching ebay for "NOS files". There are quite a few "New Old Stock" US-made files still floating around.

Guys around here know that I love files! I get Pferd and Simonds from Amazon.com.

I like Grobet files. I get them from b2bprofessionaltools.com. (760) 322-6037. The stock and service are excellent. No, I have no connection to them.
