Where are you finding interesting colors of Micarta to buy?

I am currently making some knives in Micarta and checked my supply. I apparently have a one track mind because most of the Micarta I have collected is either black paper or black linen and when I get wild it is black/green linen or olive. I am hoping that some of you will suggest where I can find some handsome colored Micarta. I am making some rugged hunting knives in high polish and satin finish with bolsters and Corbys or loveless bolts but I need some interesting handle materials. I recently saw a 2 tone Micarta in dark brown/lighter brown color but forgot where. Suggestions please. Thank you, Larry

I know shadetree makes some really nice colored 'mycarta'. Fiddleback uses it a lot. Might want to check them out.

Messy route is make your own, fiberglass resin, acrylic resin, 30 minute epoxy all work. Stack cloth and clamp up, make whatever you want. Made some out of terry cloth and epoxy recently, very good grip qualities, absorbent, does not take a polish at all though.

Micarta(tm) from Norplex comes in only a few colors black, brown(natural), maroon(some say it's burgundy) OD green and off white. You might see some custom colors but not all that often as they are expensive and Norplex is very reluctant to take on other colors since it's quite hard to match them from batch to batch.

Now if you are talking G10, that can be made in nearly any color combination you want - with layers or solid. Shadetree does nice work with his custom laminates and is worth taking a look at his stuff.

Look up 'Guycarta' on You tube. He's a fellow who makes a lot of different polyester resin scale material, lot's of different colors and materials he calls it Guycarta--seems to always be making a post about just finishing up a batch of this color, that color and what size and price it's available at.

I have various nice color combinations but the shipping usually kills the deal for individual sheets...

One day I will find a reseller there [emoji2]

Thanks everyone for the leads. One question though. Is "Shadetree" a person, supplier, website? I am a little confused...I guess I have been sniffing too much Micarta. Larry

Shade tree is a couple dudes. Met them at blade. You can google them for contact info but doesn't seem their website is too active for products. Stuff pops up on the knife makers materials for sale forum here sometimes as well. I would just email them directly. I second Sheffield also. Actually got to go by their store and walk their aisles of handle material. Left $450 later. :/
