I think you get what you pay for. Since the handle material is the most expensive part of a custom knife why not spend more and make the knife worth more?
Try a search on Ebay. There is a guy on there with the screen name Donsknife that has it all the time at very reasonable prices. I have purchased 3 different sets of scales. You will receive it in a couple days after the auction.
Hey Eircksen, Wait till the Blade Show, go there and buy slabs of it. That is the least expensive way to snag some Ironwood. Cut it up later yourself and save a few bucks.
