Where can I find real amber?

I would like to find some chunks of real amber to use as spacers on hidden tangs and inlays on full tang knives. Does anybody have any lines on some? Can't use the polyester stuff.

Last time I was in the four corners area of the US (thats at the Colorado, Utah, Arizona, NewMexico area) there were stores in Gallup, and Farmington NM, and Cortez, Durango, and Telluride, Col. all selling amber along with all kinds of other gems and minerals, so its out there.

If you can't find a web site I'd try the yellow pages under gem and mineral dealers in those areas and maybe Sedona AZ or even Tucumcari NM. as well.
