Hello all. I have seen the Edge Pro sharpening system mentioned quite a few times, but have not been successful in locating one using web searches.

Would someone be kind enough to provide me with a website or some way to get hold of more information on pricing and function?

I am completely ignorant here, but is this a way better system than the Spyderco Sharpmaker of the Lansky Diamond?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Geode, here's a link to Edge Pro's website. http://www.gorge.net/business/edgepro/ Here's a very complete review of the system if you're interested in finding some more information. http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001223.html and a continuation of the same; http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001277.html . This review pretty much says it all about the Edge Pro, but here's a little overview anyway. The base Apex system is about $120 or so, and with a stone upgrade kit, it's around $170. This sharpener will do everything but serrations. If you have a lot of reprofiling to do, you might want to get a coarse stone or two (they wear out fast), but beyond that an Apex with the stone upgrade kit will probably sharpen everything you've got that isn't serrated. Another thing worth mentioning is the service you get with this product. Edge Pro's owner, Ben Dale, is a very nice man to deal with. There's a money back guarantee on the system, and Ben is very helpful should you have any problems getting started. If you have any other questions about the Edge Pro feel free to send me an e-mail.

P.S. I'm not a company representative or anything, just a very satisfied customer. This thing blows away Lansky sytems for effectiveness and durability.
