Where can I get a quenching container?

Scrap yards often have a stack of those for a coupple bucks each. They also show up at flea markets and yard sales for $1.

I found a place for $5 corny keg containers (S&H is high) that cannot be used under pressure which is fine for us. I just ordered a couple.

If I remember correctly, someone else on another forum said they bought these and they didn't come with a lid and all the fittings had been removed. So if it tips over, there's goes your quench oil all over your floor. I'd probably ask before I bought 'em.

The drywall mud pan is perfect for boiling shorter rifle barrels when rust bluing! I have been looking for something like this for a while. Just ordered one of the 20" models.

I know someone mentioned using welding cylinders but how about condemned SCUBA tanks? They are about the right height and if you are creative the cut-off top can be made into a hinged lid.
